Cricket Goes on Humiliation with Fixing Parts

It is really humiliating and shocking news for the world of cricket that Pakistani Cricketers Mohammad Asif and Salman Butt found to be guilt of the fixing parts of a test match. They were found convict of it by a British court on Tuesday.

A jury which was working on the judgment at London’s Southwark Crown Court found both of them to be a guilt of the conspiracy for cheating and accepting the corrupted payments as a part of a betting scam. The final judgment of them will be going to pronounce today and tomorrow by Justice Cooke and till then both the p[layers will remain on bail.

Asif was actually found guilty of a single count of conspiracy for the cheating act and he was actually charge with accepted cash. The 12 jurors were sure in their decision that both of them were guilty for the cheat conspiracy and the 12 verdicts were discussed with this case for around 16 hours too as well.

It is expected that the 27 years old cricketer, Butt will face around seven years in jail. This decision might be made by the judge on today’s judgment. Butt and Asif conspired with sports agent Mazhar Majeed for the ensuring of the delivery of three intentional no-balls during the match against England in August 2010.

Apart from these two Pakistani cricketers, Mohammad Amir was also found to be guilt of this act and at present he is on the lengthy suspension by an International Cricket council tribunal of anti corruption located in Doha.

Butt was banned for 10 years at an early decision while Amir was banned for five years and Asif was provided around seven year bans but now it will be the first time that any cricketer will be sentenced to a jail in the cricket history.
