Both the captain came in the middle of the field and the toss was won by Indian Skipper M.S. Dhoni and decided to bowl against the Sri Lankan batsmen who were in form in this series. As the match begins both the opening batsmen T. Dilshan and the skipper of Sri Lankan team M. Jayawardhane were there in the crease to face Indian bowlers. Both the batsmen were playing well when suddenly a change in the bowling done by Indian skipper to introduce the youngster R. Jadeja and he got the initial wicket of Sri Lankan skipper Jyawardhane. After the dismissal of the skipper it’s time for former captain Sangakara to bat against the bowlers.</p>
<p>They went with a slow start but after fifties from both the batsmen Dilshan and Sangakara, they started to blow Indian bowlers and contributed 200 runs for the second wicket partnership. Sangakara made a fabulous 105 runs from just 87 deliveries and was bowled by the pace bowler P. Kumar on 43<sup>rd</sup> over. After Sangakara departs it’s time for the mighty hitter T. Perera, he contributed only 3 runs and was run out by P. Kumar and Sri Lanka lost their third wicket on 45<sup>th</sup> over. Now at crease was the vice- captain of Sri Lanka A. Mathews, he was there with Dilshan till 48<sup>th</sup> over before Z. Khan bowled a slower one and was caught brilliantly by R. Ashwin on 14 runs from 10 deliveries. Dilshan was not out till the end of Sri Lankan innings by making 160 runs from 165 deliveries and on other side D. Chandimal not out on 3 runs. Sri Lanka made a huge total of 320 runs by losing 4 wickets and to qualify for the finals they have to win this total in just 40 over’s to get an extra or bonus point.</p>
<p>After a short break Indian opening pair V. Sehwag and S. Tendulkar came to bat against the Sri Lankan bowlers. Both Sehwag and Tendulkar start the innings with great enthusiasm but on 54 runs partnership came to an end with the catch taking by Dilshan from the bowling of Mahroof. Sehwag departs on 30 runs on just 16 deliveries by hitting 5 fours and 1 six. Gambhir was the next batsmen to replace, both Sachin and Gambhir are playing well; suddenly Malinga got the wicket of Master Blaster when he was playing at 39 of 30 deliveries. Now, it’s time for the batsman who is in form this series V. Kohli.</p>
<p>Gambhir and Kohli contributed 100 plus runs but unfortunately Gambhir was run out by Chandimal and gone for 63 runs facing 64 balls. To replace Gambhir, S. Raina came out to join Kohli and both the batsmen shattered the Sri Lankan bowling by making a partnership of 120 runs in just 55 deliveries. Kohli and Raina were unbeaten at 133runs from just 86 deliveries and 40 runs from 24 deliveries simultaneously and India won the match on 37<sup>th</sup> over with a bonus point. The Man of the Match was given to V. Kohli for his tremendous innings and personal best of 133 runs on 86 balls which included 16 fours and 2 sixes.</p>

<p>There are around 37 archers who have been selected for the incentive criteria. Among the 37 archers the strongest competitor is a 17 year old girl name Deepika Kumari who is the biggest hope for India in the London Olympics 2012 and was awarded with Rs.4.10lakhs for her based performance of 2011 followed by Laishram Bombayla of Rs.2.20lakhs and Chekrovolu Swuro incentive of Rs.2lakhs. The trio had stunned world champions, Korea in the biennial World Championships to book Olympic berths. Deepika, meanwhile had the capped year with dozen international medals including the world Junior Gold Medal.</p>
<p>The only man who has qualified for the London Olympics Jayanta Talukdar was given Rs.1.40lakhs, followed by Tarundeep Rai who was also give the same amount of Rs.1.40lakhs. rahul banerjee was given an amount of Rs.70,000 for his performance in 2011. The Archers in the men division has only one chance left to qualify for the London Olympics 2012 which was a quota in the third world cup to be held in Ogden from July 2012.</p>
<p>The resident head of Sahara India Pariwar in Kolkata Mr. Ranoj Dasgupta has said “we are proud to be associated with the game of archery and hope the cash award would encourage them to perform better and bring glory and laurels to the country”.</p>

The men and women those who have qualified for quarter finals are in their busy schedules of practicing to win the Grand Slam. The match played between Chanelle Scheepers of South Africa versus Maria Sharapova of Russia came to an end with decision of Maria Sharapova beats Chanelle Scheepers by 6 – 3, 6 – 1 to qualify for the quarter finals of Paris Open.</p>
<p>As, Maria Sharapova is playing for the first time in this Paris Open tournament, the game starts and Maria Sharapova starts holding the game from the beginning of the match. She made a couple of breaks back to back in the starting of the first set but afterward she became better and better with the arena and the atmosphere around. She was playing like a lightning bolt from one side to another with a fabulous win in the first set with 6 – 3.</p>
<p>At the starting of the second set Chanelle Scheepers tried to make up but it was not her day of play, she dropped serve 4 times and then broke twice. Maria Sharapova again started to make her impact on Chanelle and then Chanelle sent a backhand stroke to pass the ball on the other side of the court but she was unable to and makes the ball into nets. The backhand stroke in reply of Maria’s forehand and Maria Sharapova make it a game by winning the second set by 6 – 1 and qualified for the quarter finals. After winning the match Maria Sharapova said that she was not expecting the turf to be so fast and hard but likes it and also said that she liked the atmosphere where it seems like the fans are very close.</p>
<p>After the declaration of rankings by WTA Maria Sharapova made herself up at the second position, whereas the former second ranker Petra Kvitova failed to hold herself on second position and moved down from WTA rankings.</p>

First match was won by Australians and were ahead in the series of two matches by 1-0. As the second match starts with toss both the captain made handshakes and Australian skipper G.J. Bailey calls and won the toss. Australian skipper decides to bat first and let the visitors bowl on their home ground.</p>
<p>Australian openers were there on field and D. Warner wants to face the first ball of the second T20 match with a change in batting order come A.J. Finch. Praveen Kumar doesn’t want to set Warner and was caught by Gambhir on 8 runs of 8 balls. In the place of Warner takes Marsh and was also caught by Indian skipper for 0 (duck) by P. Kumar. Finch takes down Indian bowlers and made 36 runs of just 23 balls but was run out by Indian youngster Jadeja.</p>
<p>Hussey also contributed 24 essential runs on 29 deliveries and was caught and bowl by Jadeja, M. Wade who has played a spectacular innings in the first match was looking good before he was run out by R. Sharma. Sharma run out another batsman of Australia who was the skipper Bailey and was gone on 3 runs of 4 balls. Australia’s batting line up was broken by Indian bowlers and fielders. Indian bowlers wipe out Aussie batsmen in 131all out. McKay gone for a duck by Vinay Kumar, Hogg was given lbw on the bowl of Sharma and Doherty was run out by Raina, the only batsman left not out was Lee on 6 facing 4 deliveries. Australia made 131 all out after 19.4 over and the target was of 132 from 20 over in front of Indian batsmen. From India Praveen Kumar and Sharma took 2-2 wickets each and Jadeja and V. Kumar took 1-1 each.</p>
<p>As the second innings start Australia set their field for Indian openers Gambhir and Sehwag. India starts off well and was flying with shots of hard hitting batsmen Sehwag, but in the 7 over Hogg bowl beautiful delivery and Sehwag was caught by Marsh. On the other hand Gambhir is batting quite well and to support him Kohli was in. Both the batsmen played beautifully and completed their 50 partnership in no time, but due to wrong shot selection Kohli has to depart from field on 31 runs of 24 balls – bowled by Marsh and caught by wicket keeper Wade.</p>
<p>Now, the time for Indian skipper to step in and play some handy shots to win. Before India could win Gambhir made a magnificent 50 and was great to see someone in form for India. India won the match by 8 wickets and the opener was 56 not out of 60 balls whereas the captain was playing on 21 runs of just 18 balls. From the Australian side Hogg and Marsh took 1-1 wicket each.</p>
<p>The Man of the Match was gone to Indian youngster Ravindra Jadeja for his brilliant work in field and with the ball.</p>

As the match begins with toss, India won the toss and elected to bowl, the Aussies openers Mattew Wade and David Warner on the crease to set a milestone for India to chase. David Warner departs earlier by making 25 runs in 14 balls, bowl by Vnay Kumar and catch taken by S. Raina. M. wade is forming as captain on his debut continues to score and made a spectacular 72 runs in just 43 balls while on the other side of crease was replaced by TR. Brit and then D. Hussey.</p>
<p>Brit made 17 runs in 21 balls whereas Hussey made 42 of 30. Hussey was bowled by Rohit Sharma and Brit was caught by Raina, bowled by Ashwin. The next 2 batsman Bailey and Marsh were not out on 12 and 0 simultaneously. Australia scored 171 runs on 20 overs and set a target of 172 on India to chase. From India Vinay Kumar, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina and R. Ashwin took a wicket each. The next is the batting of Indian Team to chase a 172 runs from 20 overs with 8.60 runs per over.</p>
<p>The openers of India were on crease to chase the runs scored by Aussies. As the 2<sup>nd</sup> innings started India starts losing their batsmen one by one, first wicket was of V. Sehwag just on 4 runs of 3 balls. G. Gambhir and V. Kohli played their knocks and were gone on 20 of 14 and 22 of 21. S. Raina was bowled by the peace bowler Christian on 14 and R. Sharma was swapped by Hussy on duck. M. Dhoni the Indian skipper starts playing sensible game but it was no one holds the wicket on other end.</p>
<p>Dhoni made 48 of 43 by hitting 3 sixes not out but that was not enough for India to defeat Australia. On the other end R. Jadeja was caught by warner bowled by Christian and R. Ashwin was also not out with 15 of 16 deliveries. Christian and Hussey took 2-2 wickets each whereas Hogg and Lee took 1-1. Australia won the match with leading 1-0 on series of 2 twenty20 matches and the newly appointed Captain Mattew Wade was declared Man of the Match on his debut for his spectacular 72 of 43 balls.</p>
